This report addresses the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s compliance with its obligations under the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD Convention) in the context of Nigeria’s laws, policies, and customs concerning the death penalty. This report suggests questions that the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities should consider posing to the Government of Nigeria in its List of Issues, particularly with respect to the administration of the death penalty against persons with disabilities.
