Women, both cisgender and transgender, experience violence when transiting through Mexico. After experiencing violence, women face a lack of access to justice and protective services because of the culture of impunity in the Mexican Government and its officials. As the United States continues to implement third-country deportations, this report will shed light on the gender-based violence in Mexico, especially for vulnerable transiting populations.
